• Description: The Indian upholstery fabric by Morris & Co was originally designed as wallpaper by George Gilbert Scott back in 1868. This wallpaper is still available in specialist shops! This rock-solid British upholstery fabric features a stunning classic Baroque design. It feels very contemporary thanks to its colour scheme, yet retains a genuine vintage feel. Originally, the fabric was printed using a two-colour block. The logbooks from the Morris & Co archive show that the design was often re-coloured to achieve the perfect shade. This process has resulted in the warm wine-red colour now featured in this fabric sample.
