BYBORRE is a relatively new player in the market and was founded in 2015. The company focuses on innovation in both the textile industry and the upholstery fabrics sector, and specialises in on-demand production and ‘textile-as-a-service’. This enables production processes to be fully digitised and minimises waste.

Thanks to their digital design platform, designers are able to create their own designs and order them in exactly the quantities they require.

All the fabrics are knitted (not woven), and several of them are even available in a 3D version. There are three types of upholstery fabrics:

– A02: 2 layers of fabric
– A03: 2 layers of fabric plus 1 layer of filling
– 3D: 2 layers of fabric plus 1 layer of filling, with a 3D texture

In addition, BYBORRE has a ready-made collection in various colourways which can be ordered straight away.

All fabrics come with a so-called Textile Report, which details the origin of the raw materials.

In addition, BYBORRE is known as a design studio that creates designs for, amongst others, Kvadrat Febrik (including the Apparel fabric). BYBORRE also has an apparel division that supplies major brands such as Nike, Adidas and Gore-Tex.

The company is currently expanding internationally into the US, Scandinavia and Italy.
