About Stof voor Design – Remnants of Design Furniture Fabrics (Amersfoort)
Stof voor Design, part of Amersfoort, was founded in 2018 and has had a specific aim ever since: to reduce the mountain of waste consisting of unused leftover upholstery fabrics that is generated once furniture upholstery projects are completed. In doing so, Stof voor Design aims to contribute to the circular economy, greater sustainability and a reduction in our ecological footprint.
In addition, the aim is to achieve a win-win situation for all parties involved: surplus stock does not have to end up in landfill, furniture upholsterers free up space in their warehouses, and customers pay at least 50% less than the usual high prices for furniture fabrics. With these leftover upholstery fabrics, you can reupholster your retro, vintage, designer, modern or classic furniture at an attractive price.
In this way, Stof voor Design also aims to discourage the purchase and use of ‘fast furniture’. After all, with the fabrics offered by Stof voor Design, you can of course use modern fabrics on your armchair, dining chair, footstool or sofa – which are still in perfect working order – but our collection also includes beautiful upholstery fabrics from the distinctive 1980s.

All fabrics are in stock, so fast delivery is guaranteed. And the choice can certainly be called great: we have thousands of coupons from 1 metre to even 25 metres. Sold by the linear metre or by the coupon. Many materials and colours are available.
Our upholstery fabrics are suitable for which applications?
Virtually all the fabrics offered by Stof voor Design are used by various renowned interior design brands as design upholstery for retro / vintage / modern / designer furniture.
Indoor fabrics These upholstery fabrics are suitable for daily and intensive use on armchairs, dining chairs, office chairs, sofas, lounge sets, and pouffes. Outdoor fabrics Thanks to their mould-resistant and dirt-repellent properties, the Stof voor Design collection also includes so-called outdoor fabrics. These upholstery fabrics are ideally suited for use on sofas and sofa beds in caravans, motorhomes and boats. And sometimes even for garden chairs. Panel fabrics We also have so-called panel fabrics. These are fabrics with lower wear resistance, which can be used for sound screens, wall panels, decorative cushions or throws, among other things.

As well as remnant upholstery fabrics, Stof voor Design also offers remnants of luxury net and curtain fabrics from the Scandinavian design brand Kvadrat. These are available in a range of designs. We also stock rugs from the design brand Kasthall (in various sizes), also with a discount starting from 50%!

About me:
I have always had a passion for design, interior design and architecture. My first job was therefore at an architectural practice. After holding various roles, I decided to pursue my passion further and trained in interior design. My focus during this training was on the use of beautiful materials. After completing this course, I started selling surplus luxury upholstery and curtain fabrics. The fabrics are new and available for sale once projects have been completed. For a beautiful, sustainable and circular retro / vintage / modern / designer interior!
