Saum & Viebahn is a fabric wholesaler based in Kulmbach, Germany

This textile supplier was founded in Berlin in 1900 under the name Hardt & Krebs “Engroshaus für Möbelstoffe, Teppiche und Dekorationsstoffe”.

In 1926, Herrmann Saum joined the company. Six years later, he took over the company together with Erwin Viebahn.

Due to the war, the headquarters of Saum & Viebahn was moved from Berlin to Kulmbach, where it is still based today.

These days, Saum & Viebahn also develops its own collections.

In 1995, Saum & Viebahn formed the basis of Sofatex GmbH, a partnership for furniture upholsterers. Sofatex has also operated in the Netherlands.
